GOD BLESS AMERICA

Happy Inauguration Day! May this be a much needed change to our current state. May the Lord bless President Obama to be more than hope and promise to our Nation, but a marvelous change! I am proud to be an American.

On another note, I had the best gift today! My Dad and Mom told me they booked a flight to come see me in May! Yea! I was thrilled, what a wonderful day!

Hey, Mindi--you've got to be kidding, right? You're not a believer in Obama's smooth talking semantics, are you? I don't think there's anything wrong with praying that the Lord will help him make decisions that will help America, and it's monumental for the nation to have it's first African American President. However, the "change" he's talking about sounds a lot like Socialism to me. He's not not the "Savior" everyone's been hoping for--I'm pretty sure he's going to run the country into the ground to push his own Liberal agenda, and he's already started with his abortion bill and closing Guantanimo Bay. Please tell me you were being sarcastic on your post. : )

I think you misunderstood me, Debra Jo. I am just trying to be positive and hopeful that Obama can be lead under the right influences. I am about the most informed person on his executive decisions thus far, oh I am watching to see what he is doing for our Nation. And so far I think he is paying attention to the wrong things. But I am still going to be supportive of his strengths and they are family focused. So even if I did believe him to be the Change we needed, I don't think I would need to explain my views. But because you asked. There they are.

Dear Mindi,

I hope I didn't offend you, because that's not what I intended; I apologize if I did. It is possibly safest for you and I to "agree to disagree" on this topic, seeing as I could start listing all the reasons why I believe President Obama's stances and actions will actually hurt families more than help them.

It is good that you are trying to be positive; you should probably stay away from conservative talk radio if you want to remain positive about everything our president is doing. : )

I hope you know that you can believe different things than I do with the political scene, and I will still respect you as my friend, even if I am vocal, opinionated, and passionate about what I believe.

Love,
Debra Jo
